Bosses Hub: Known Fights and How to Prepare
Named Onimusha: Way of the Sword bosses with real footage or official presence: Sasaki Ganryu, Daidara, and Shuten Doji — plus what each fight is actually testing.
Sasaki Ganryu
Evidence: public demo and preview coverage.
The Kiyomizu-dera duel is where a lot of players stop treating regular enemies as the whole game. It tests clean reads, parry discipline, and not overcommitting after one hit.
Prep: land reliable defensive answers first. Full notes: Sasaki Ganryu boss guide
Daidara
Evidence: Oni Refuge preview footage.
A large club-and-charge fight that also races you for souls. If the boss feeds, it can power up; the follow-up is to punish the enlarged stomach when a real opening appears.
Prep: spacing and resource discipline beat greedy absorbs. Full notes: Daidara boss guide
Shuten Doji
Evidence: official trailers and promotional framing.
A named major antagonist. Phase lists, move names, and punish windows are not confirmed here yet.
Universal habits
- Figure out what the boss is asking — patience, spacing, or a system check.
- Do not confuse a stylish Issen with the correct answer.
- After a bad hit, reset. Panic strings lose more fights than the first mistake.
- First attempts can be scouting runs.
Move-by-move pages for later mandatory bosses stay unpublished until those fights are actually documented.
